Had a great experience moving my entire life from BC to MB. My mother used a traditional mover and paid over $20,000 to move about the same amount of things so I was happy to hear my box would only cost $5000 for the same move. Of course you have to pack the box yourself and unload yourself but you could even hire people separately to do that if need be. The only downside is the timing. Once they picked up my belongings I was given a 14 day window for it to arrive. Luckily it arrived one week earlier than expected so I was able to unpack and get settled sooner. A downside of hiring a traditional mover is your things can go missing which is what happened to my mom. I received everything as I packed it because I was the only one with a key. Being able to unload at your own pace is great too. You don't have to do it all in one day! Would recommend to friends for sure. Well worth the value. Almost went with PODS but I'm glad I looked into pricing with Big Steel Box. A larger box was cheaper than the largest box PODS had to offer and the weight limit is higher with Big Steel Box. Definitely your best option for moving across country at a good price.

Rented a 20' BigSteelBox for 3 months. Arranging the delivery and pickup was a pleasant and simple process over email and phone. I had concerns with clearance, but they referenced Google maps to confirm. The container arrived in pristine condition and kept the contents safe from everything, including this torrential downpour. Driver for delivery was a pro! He was able to navigate it into a tight spot in just minutes. Rates were better than what I had found when researching options in the Vancouver area.

Container was in great shape and very clean for our furniture storage needs during renovation. Staff were responsive, price was competitive and drop-off/pick-up was quick and very well managed. Definitely recommended.
