Update: Thank you for reaching out here, however we have not noticed any missed calls. My daughter who was the holder of the box has called Big Steel Box a few times to talk to someone and has received refunds to her card, which is appreciated. Thank you for attempting to make right what happened. After paying 3 years of storage at your facility (Michael McCallum) how can you deliver the wrong storage container, take almost 3 hours to find and deliver the correct one….and not a sorry, my mistake, nothing…not the last you have heard from us…
I really wish I would have gone with another option as this company was nothing but an issue pretty much from the start.
We got a quote for our move, everything looked good so we accepted, paid a deposit and requested the bin for drop off. When it was packed we scheduled the pick up and what we thought was the approval to ship it. Unfortunately, the bin never left the bigsteelbox yard, so when we arrived at our new location in a new province we didn't have access to the bin. When we called to inquire where it was, we were told it wasn't sent and that it was waiting in the yard still. Speaking with management at this location, we were told it was our fault for not notifying them to send it out. We asked the manager for a discount because of the delay and then he never got back to us, even when I left 2 messages and multiple emails... nothing. They advertise a discount of 10% off for referrals, and I would have given a referral if they had better customer service but I won't be and I suggest if you use this company to call about the status of your bin regularly. To respond to your message below. Authorization was provided to charge the card on file for pick up and to start the shipment process. When we spoke to the manager he said he checked the phone call transcripts but when we asked if he had checked the call with Janelle he hadn't, so we asked him to check all the phone call transcripts. Maybe some are missing from your system or there was an error? He never responded with what he found. He did leave me a voice-mail after this review was posted, but I would l rather communicate by email.
