BigSteelBox Hits the Links

BigSteelBox was a proud sponsor of this year’s Chilliwack Tourism and Chamber Golf Tournament, and there were more than a few surprised faces on the course when they saw a BigSteelBox sitting behind one of the greens. “There’s nothing like demonstrating that you can deliver” said Norm Hayes of the Chilliwack store. “I’m pretty sure it didn’t leave a divot.”

It wouldn’t make sense to deliver a BigSteelBox, if there was nothing stored inside, so this gave us the opportunity to have some fun with a "Guess What's inside the BigSteelBox” contest. Golfers had to look for clues on 4 different holes, and as the day went on several people offered cash (and beer) for the correct answer. It became a real focal point to the tournament. Just about everyone playing that day was buzzing about what lurked inside the BigSteelBox. While some clues deliberately threw people off, at the end of the day just about every golfer had figured out that it was a Kayak! It was great to see everyone walking around with their BigSteelBox clue cards in their hands. And for most players it was more important than their score card!
